Who handles your information?

What the callback form collects
I save your name, telephone number, postcode, preferred callback time and job description so I can respond, discuss a quote and manage your enquiry. Please do not include payment details or other sensitive information.
Providing these details is your choice, but I need a contact number and enough information about the job to arrange a callback. You can call me instead.
How I use your details, and why I can
Your enquiry is stored in a restricted inbox that only I and my authorised website administrator can access. When email notifications are configured, the site’s email provider also sends your enquiry details to my email address. I don’t add your details to a marketing list or sell them.
My lawful basis for handling a request for plumbing work is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and carrying out that contract if you book. For other business enquiries and protecting the website against misuse, I rely on my legitimate interests in running a small business and keeping customer information secure. Optional analytics relies on your consent. Records required for tax or accounting are kept to meet legal obligations.
Who receives the information?
SiteGround provides the hosting for this version of the website. The hosting service processes connection information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and protect the site. My authorised website administrator can help maintain it. If email notifications are enabled, the configured hosting mail or SMTP provider processes your enquiry and delivers it to my Gmail inbox. Removing a lead from the website does not automatically delete its email copy or copies in hosting backups.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry details for as long as they are needed to respond, arrange the work and deal with follow-up questions or disputes. If a job goes ahead, some details become part of the job and accounting records and may need to be kept longer to meet legal obligations. Email copies and hosting backups have their own deletion cycles. Contact me if you would like to know which records I still hold or ask for them to be removed.
Where information is processed
Hosting, email, analytics and security providers may process information outside the UK. The arrangements depend on the services and account settings in use. Where a restricted international transfer is needed, it must be covered by an applicable UK adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. Contact me for details of the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your information.
Cookies, analytics and your choices
Essential storage keeps the callback form and private staff areas secure and remembers your cookie choice. It remains available when you reject optional analytics. If Google Analytics is configured, I only load it after you choose Accept analytics or enable it in Cookie settings. Ignoring or closing the banner does not give consent.
With your permission, Google Analytics records page views, clicks on my telephone links and successful callback requests so I can understand how the website is used. With the same analytics consent, this website also records phone-button clicks for my private office dashboard. These records contain the page path, time and a random event reference, without your name, phone number or job details. They are retained for up to 90 days and cleared when the dashboard or tracking service next runs. Dashboard enquiry totals come from the callback records I already hold. Google receives technical information such as browser and device details and processes connection information. My tracking code does not send names, phone numbers, postcodes or the description of your job. Advertising storage, Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in this integration. I remember your choice in this browser’s local storage under blackmore-cookie-choice, together with the time and consent version, for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies named _ga and _ga_* can be set after consent, with a configured lifetime of up to 180 days. The blackmore_office session cookie supports form security and authorised staff access. Session access expires after inactivity and has an eight-hour maximum; the browser cookie ends with the browser session.
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any public page to change your choice. Withdrawing analytics consent disables tracking, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site and reloads the page to unload the tag. It does not undo processing that already happened. Clearing browser storage also clears your saved choice.
Search Console verification is a static ownership marker, not a visitor-tracking script. Security records use a rotating connection identifier without enquiry details or passwords. When Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, it processes technical information such as your IP address and browser information to check for automated abuse. The integration does not send it the text of your enquiry. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Enquiry notifications are sent through the configured hosting mail or SMTP provider to my email inbox. Links to Google and your phone or email applications open services with their own privacy arrangements.
Google customer reviews
When my Google review connection is enabled, this site displays public reviewer names, star ratings, posting dates and review text from my Google Business Profile. I use these to show customers feedback on my work, relying on my legitimate interests in promoting the business. The website retrieves reviews on the server and keeps a temporary copy for up to seven days; expired copies are removed when the website or scheduled task next runs. Viewing these cards does not load a Google widget or send your browser details to Google. Following a Google link opens a service with its own privacy arrangements. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal information, have inaccurate details corrected, and request deletion or restriction where the relevant conditions apply. You may also have a right to receive information you provided in a portable format when processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out automatically.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time through Cookie settings; this does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew it. I do not use your enquiry to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
