What might it cost?
Fit a mixer shower to existing supplies
£180–£330estimated labour only
A straightforward mixer shower installation with suitable hot and cold supplies already in place. The shower and fittings cost separately. New pipe runs, tiling, electrical work and water-heater installations need separate quotes.
These are guide prices, not a fixed quote or a maximum charge. Access, the condition of the fittings and the work needed can change the cost. I’ll agree the price with you before starting.
Only a small fix? Many of my quick repairs cost £55–£85 for labour, plus replacement parts. You don’t need to book a bigger job.

A leaking connection, a worn shower fitting and a shower that is not working as expected can involve different jobs. Start with the make and model if you know it, whether it is an electric or mixer shower, and what has changed.
I can replace showers, but I’ll need to check the existing installation and the model you have in mind first. Matching the position of the connections is only part of making sure it’s suitable.
If you have already chosen a shower, share the product details first. That is easier than discovering on the day that the plumbing does not match.
Hot-water plumbing, with a clear scope
I can help with water-heater plumbing and everyday hot-water fittings. To work out what’s involved, I’ll ask which outlets are affected, what supplies the hot water and whether you’ve noticed a leak or a change in performance.
I don’t carry out gas work or service gas boilers. You’ll need a Gas Safe registered engineer for any work involving gas.
Some jobs also involve electrical work or water heaters with specialist requirements. I’ll explain which parts of the job I can take on and what needs a suitably qualified specialist before you book.
Before requesting a shower quote
Give your postcode, the shower or water-heater model and a short description of the problem. Mention visible leaks, any planned replacement and how the fittings are accessed. A quote may need more information or an assessment of the installation.
You can book a small repair, including a single leaking shower connection. I work across Weston-super-Mare and nearby areas, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm. Quotes are free, and you can request a callback if I’m busy on a job.
If your main concern is water escaping from a connection, see plumbing leak investigation and pipe repairs for more about finding and repairing the source.
Shower & hot-water plumbing: your questions
Can you replace my shower?
Yes, I take on shower replacements. I’ll check the current and proposed models with you to establish suitability and what the job involves.
Do you repair or service gas boilers?
No. I don’t offer gas or Gas Safe services. You’ll need to arrange gas boiler work with a Gas Safe registered engineer.
What should I include in a hot-water enquiry?
Your postcode, the equipment make and model, and which taps or shower are affected. A brief description of any leak or change in performance helps me work out what to check.
Should I buy the new shower before calling?
It is better to discuss the model first. The new shower needs to suit the existing installation, and the full plumbing and any electrical requirements should be clear before the work is booked.
