A leak and a slow drain need different checks
If water appears under the sink, notice when it happens. A leak that starts while the bowl empties may involve the waste connections; water appearing when nothing is being used needs a different check. You do not need to take anything apart before calling. Describe what you can see and whether the water is contained or still spreading.
For a slow sink, I’ll ask whether other fittings are affected and whether the problem has returned after a previous attempt to clear it. A local blockage and a problem further along the drainage system need different approaches. I handle everyday plumbing blockages and waste pipe repairs, and I’ll explain if specialist drainage equipment or a contractor is needed.
I visit homes and businesses in Clevedon for these jobs and other small repairs. Many quick repairs cost £55–£85 for labour, with parts extra and no VAT added. Hidden pipework, extended leak investigation and larger installations need an individual quote. Please include your postcode and any access restrictions when enquiring. For an active leak, call to check my availability; callback requests are not an emergency booking service. My working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm.
Before you call
- Note when water appears and which fittings are affected.
- Mention any previous repair or drain-clearing attempt.
- Say whether the pipework is visible or behind a panel.
